The first edition of this work in the publishers original quarter cloth and pictorial boards, with the original unclipped dust wrapper.

The Kings Breakfast is a poem by A. A. Milne, first published in When We Were Very Young (1924). It concerns a cow which refuses to provide milk, causing the King to sulk. The poem was made into a film in 1963.

In this work, the poem has been set to music by H. Fraser-Simson, with accompanying illustrations by Ernest H. Shepard.


CONDITION

In the publishers original quarter cloth and pictorial boards, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart, with the odd spot to the boards, and a touch of sunning to the lower extremity of the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with some spotting to the first and last couple of pages, and to the fore edge, affecting the occasional page. Dust wrapper is smart with a scattering of spots. Small tear to the front of the wrap.
