Bound in the publishers decorative red cloth.

Illustrated with three plates and a frontispiece by Frederick William Keyl, a German-born painter, known for his animal works. Keyl was a firm favourite of Queen Victoria, receiving many commissions from the Royal Family during his career. 

Collated, complete.

Featherland is a delightful and imaginative tale, surrounding two brothers who find themselves in a hidden realm inhabited by talking birds.

Written by English author George Manville Fenn, known for his young adult novels and childrens books, such as this one.

With thirty-two pages of publishers advertisements to the rear.


CONDITION

Bound in the publishers decorative red cloth. Externally, very good, with slight rubbing to the extremities. The odd mark to cloth, with darkening to the spine. Front hinge is a little strained, with the hinge reinforced to the rear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright, with a few handling marks. Closed tears and repairs to pages 39-42.
